On April, 6^th of 2010, Mr. Samuel Casey – General Adviser and Vice President of Advocates International paid a visit to RLI. The meeting was attended by over 35 people, members and supporters. Mr. Casey gave a two-hour presentation which grabbed the interest of the attendees.
We are all looking forward to Mr. Casey’s next visit to Bulgaria!

Since April 2010, we’re successfully working with a Bulgarian Law Intern from France, Zornitsa Zaharieva. She completed her Masters in International Business Law in Toulouse this ear. Working with Ms. Zaharieva contributed to our preparation of our seminars and autumn projects.

On June, 11^th 2010, Mr Popov held a lecture at the Seminar on “Prevention of Corruption” which took place at Sunny Beach, Bulgaria and was organized by the National Association of Municipal Clerks in Bulgaria.

In July, forty students from the Wheaton Illinois College visited the RLI office where Latchezar Popov gave and hour-long presentation and answered to their questions.

In July-August, we welcomed two American interns from the Alliance Defense Fund-USA. Cody Jones and Amber Williams have helped us with our current projects with a lot of energy and talent.

In August, RLI had another two-weeks intern, Anna Beleva, who helped us with her skills and legal expertise.

RLI is partnering Advocates Europe in the organization of the Global Seminar “ Integrity under the Rule of Law in Fighting against Corruption” on the 24^th and 25^th of September in Sofia which will be held at the Great Hall at the Union of Jurist in Bulgaria, ul Pirotska 7. Presentations will be carried out by experts in the field from France, USA, Germany, Spain and UK. The following Bulgarian authorities have confirmed their presence; Bulgarian Ministry of Interior, National Association of Bulgarian Business, National Association of Municipal Clerks in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Transparency International Bulgaria.
Over 40 Consulates and Embassies settled in Sofia have been invited to attend the event.

RLI published “The Peacemaker” brochure in Bulgarian language.
